I’m sure you’ve seen it on Facebook or Good Morning America or Nightly News…it’s everywhere. The dress. Gold and white or black and blue?
It seems everyone is talking about it. It’s trending all over.
And it’s a simple dress that is really black and blue but because of the light it was taken in and how our own eyes see color, we humans are seeing different colors. Sometimes the same person sees the same picture as gold and white one time but black and blue the next.
What does this have to do with your business?
Because a simple $70 dress has become a national topic of discussion. It wasn’t planned. It wasn’t trick photography or trick seamstressing. It was stumbled upon and it went viral.
How many ideas do you come up with and then put aside because you think, “No one will be interested in this” or “No one will buy this”?
The reality is you truly never really know what will catch someone’s attention and become the next dress discussion. All you can do is try. So prioritize those ideas – go for the low hanging fruit – and get them out there.
If you’ve been thinking of doing a video but are afraid no one will watch or it’s a waste of time, no one will see it if you don’t do it…so just do it! Get that camera ready and start shooting.
Thinking of writing a book? Get going on it. Your book could be the next dress phenomenon.
Whatever idea you’ve got percolating, it’s time to take action. You can’t win the lottery if you don’t play. So what project are you going to move forward with?
