I’m sure you’ve heard the “rule” that the more information you request on an opt-in form, the less likely someone is to fill out that form. But sometimes, you need more information! So how can you request the additional information without running people off? Here are some ideas.
Let’s say you want to collect a mailing address. Initially you offer a free report where someone gives you their name and email address — nothing new here. But then create a second form where you can say, “Oh, by the way, I’d love to send you this free DVD on living the life you want.” The second form then collects the mailing address and phone number.
