A couple of weeks ago I showed you how to set up your billing automations so that customers could update their credit cards when the card fails or is about to expire. If you missed it, click here to watch the video.
The question has come up about what to do when the card hasn’t failed or isn’t about to expire, but the customer wants to start using a different credit card. There’s a better solution than playing phone tag or sending sensitive information through email.
This is simple! You’ll want to create a product called “Update card” with $0 due. Then create an order form for this product and, voila, the customer can update their credit card!
Just be sure that you get a notification when the form is filled out and you’ll then want to go in and change credit cards for any future payments.
