If you’re using subscriptions or payment plans in Infusionsoft, you want to be sure billing automation is set up.
What does it do? You can create any number of actions, including tasks and emails, for when a credit card fails on the first attempt, last attempt, or any attempt in between. For instance, the card fails and you can send the customer an email asking them to update their credit card.
You can also create actions when a credit card is X number of days away from expiring — 30 days, 7 days, you choose. You can be proactive and send the customer an email letting them know their card is about to expire and they need to update it.
The emails also give them a link that they can click on and update their card on file.
