I’ve noticed two “pet peeves” happening more and more as people migrate to Infusionsoft. The first one came to my inbox in multiple emails today alone! What am I talking about and how can you avoid them? Read on.
You may have seen them. They look like this:
- When you?re ready to make millions
- Here we go?the secret to success
- We?re telling you the whole story
- Have you ever thought ?What next??
Yes, those strangely placed question marks in the subject lines of emails. Have you noticed them? There’s one particular internet marketer that it happens to on a regular basis. What causes it and how can you avoid it if you’re an Infusionsoft user? Easy.
It happens when the subject line is copy and pasted from a Word document. The question marks are replacing apostrophes, quotation marks, ellipses and dashes. It looks fine in Infusionsoft, but when it arrives in the receiver’s inbox, it can have question marks in place of those other symbols.
The solution? Either type your subject line into the subject field in Infusionsoft or copy and paste into Notepad and then copy out of Notepad into Infusionsoft.
My second pet peeve? Scrolling my mouse over an image in an email and I see “Interesting Image” pop up. This is the default text Infusionsoft uses when you insert a picture using their drag and drop builder.
The solution? When uploading a new image, be sure to change the description to something besides “Interesting Image”. It just needs to be something short – one to three words to describe the picture.
And that’s it! Just a couple of simple steps to keep your emails professional looking!!
