There are so many tools available to us online that it can get very confusing on what to use and what they do. Today I’m going to tell you about ten of my favorite programs/online resources. Some make my life easier, some make it easier to work with a team, and some give me peace of mind.
Dropbox is a cloud-based storage area that automatically syncs to the other computers that are connected. It comes in handy if you work on both a desktop and laptop and you often need files created on one while working on the other. The files are stored on the cloud and automatically sync. You update a file, resave it to Dropbox, and it updates all computers that are connected to that folder. And…you can share specific folders with team members or clients so they can have access, as well.
Infusionsoft is an awesome all-in-one marketing tool. It takes care of your CRM, email marketing, shopping cart, and affiliate management. It replaces multiple systems like Salesforce, 1ShoppingCart, Constant Contact, aWeber, and Mailchimp. Infusionsoft has a wide variety of third party applications and the ability to do custom coding to make it fit just about every scenario.
Gmail Sync/Outlook Sync for Infusionsoft. If you have Infusionsoft and are using either Gmail or Outlook, the sync tool is an absolute must have! You can update a contact’s record right from Gmail/Outlook. You can create appointments, tasks, notes, and apply tags without logging into your Infusionsoft application right there from your email. If someone calls you and you want to look up their information? No problem. You can pull them up.
Hootsuite is a social media management tool. You can monitor your Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn feeds in one place. You can respond. You can schedule posts. It’s a must-have for managing your social media.
I also have to mention GroSocial. While you can also manage your social media here, I really like the additional ability to create Twitter backgrounds, Facebook banners, Facebook tabs, and run contests using GroSocial.
Basecamp is an online project management and collaboration tool. We use it in our business to keep client projects organized and on track. Each client is a different project and clients only have access to their own projects. There are calendars, to-dos, and a file management area. It’s a must-have when working with teams.
Evernote is my brain. It’s on my desktop, laptop, and phone and they’re all connected and synchronized. I use it to keep track of marketing ideas, ezine ideas, websites I want to look at later, and so much more. One day I was out in the pasture and the person I was with told me I needed to look up something. I knew I’d never remember it, so I pulled out my phone, opened Evernote and typed it in.
Tired of trying to remember all those passwords? Especially nowadays when passwords shouldn’t be easy because of hackers? Roboform is the answer! It’s an online password management system. It keeps track of your usernames and passwords so you don’t have to.
Carbonite allows you to create backups of your hard drive, automatically, and it stores it in the cloud. So you don’t need to worry about remembering to back up to an external hard drive and keeping it somewhere else. Carbonite does it for you.
Pixlr is an online photo editing tool. Need to resize, add text, edit? You can do it online without downloading any software!
